Sharing Music4Therapy in Kent: Celebrating the National Day of Arts in Care Homes

Another year has arrived and we at Greyce Music are set to mark the upcoming National Day of Arts in Care Homes with free Music4Therapy sessions in Kent care homes. This day, observed on 24th September, aims to champion, promote and encourage arts engagement in care settings and highlight the health and wellbeing benefits for all involved.

The Power of Music

Music holds a unique ability to touch the soul and we aim to harness this power for the benefit of Kent care home residents in particular for the National Day of Arts in Care Homes.

Our Music4Therapy sessions are led by skilled musicians and therapists. They offer residents various ways to engage with music:

Rhythmic Engagement

During Music4Therapy, Residents can actively participate in both drumming and simple percussive instrument play. This can help in motor skills, body strength, and stimulate new learning - whilst also being enjoyable.

Serene Melodies and Musical Memories

We plan to visit multiple Kent care homes on the National Day of Arts in Care Homes to share the gift of music, fostering a sense of community.
