Practise clapping, tapping, or playing (using one note on the piano) each of the exercises in the First Rhythm Practise sheet.

You can also listen to the Audio files to help you keep in time.

Remember, it is very important to count out loud as you clap or play. Counting out loud can help to you control your speed!

Have a look at these different rhythms. Can you create your own melody or song on the piano using your favourite rhythm?

 

You can listen to the audio example taken from exercise 4 below. This may help you to develop your own ideas too.

After you have created your own melody or song, you can record it (this can be done on any smartphone or tablet) and submit it via email to learning@greycemusic.co.uk for teacher feedback.

 

Let us know if you wish for a music teacher to create a musical accompaniment for any music you send!
